English has been a part of the curriculum since the inception of the college. The mission of the department is to enhance the literary and communication competencies of the students to meet the changes and challenges in today’s competitive world.

Over the years there have been marked changes in teaching methodology and syllabus however the department has been trying its best to meet with the demands of the students. The department of English offers the following courses as per HPU and SPU.

DSE Course: - This is an intensive discipline specific course for three years graduation program offered to students.

Compulsory Core Course: - this is a mandatory course for all students of BA and B.Com in 1st year and 2nd year.

AECC Course: - This is a skill based course (Ability Enhancement Compulsory Course for (B.A./B.Com.) 1st year students.
